Alle Auktionen / Beleuchtung / Table lamp - Italian design of the 1950s - Lacquered brass, Opaline glass
An iconic piece of Italian design from the 1950s. This splendid bedside lamp in glass, shaped like a funny character, a "Clown", with a brass-gilded structure, features a cheerful and playful design. The lamp's frame consists of a thick glass base and two side leaves that rise to cover the inverted glass bell. The structure is in satin brass, and note the presence of one original and still functioning E14 bulb! Lamps were very popular toward the end of the 1940s, as were chandeliers with the same type and workmanship, made by many Murano firms such as Barovier & Toso. This lamp is perfect for lighting a corner of work or study, but it can also be used in other areas of the home, such as the bedroom or living room. The lamp is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear due to age, authentic electrical system, working, to be serviced. Dimensions: Height: 32 cm Width: 14 cm Always unique, peculiar pieces, always in our auctions, always on Catawiki.
