Table service (4) - Crystal - Refined spice rack

Refined table service consisting of four antique salt-cellars (or spice containers) made in silver and cut crystal. Each piece is distinguished by the elegant neoclassical imprint structure, typical of the Empire style or the Eclectic taste of the 19th century. • The Silver Mounting: Each dish is supported by a tripod structure (three feet). The upper part of the legs is decorated in relief with a refined classical mask in the likeness of a deity (consistent with the classical heads of Bacchus, Apollo, or mythological figures typical of 19th‑century silverware), flanked by foliate scrolls and scroll motifs. The uprights taper down to end in elegant feet shaped like a scroll or an inverted sphere. On the front of the supports there is an engraving with a monogram in English cursive (a noble family letter or initials). • The Crystal Containers: Inside the structures sit four removable bowls in heavy transparent crystal, adorned with a precious geometric faceting work designed to reflect light and enhance the contents. ATTENTION: one of the four bowls is different from the others, probably replaced later. • Upper Edge: The circular silver band at the top features a fine gadrooning or geometric border that finishes the perimeter and fits the crystal perfectly. Rectangular box: 22 × 6 cm; height 6.5 cm. Silver lid weighing 175 g. Two crystal bottles: each 7 × 7 cm, height 14 cm, with a silver cap weighing 35 g each. Circular box: diameter 7.5 cm, height 6.5 cm, with a silver lid weighing 50 g.
