Targetti Sankey - Studio tecnico Targetti - Bedside table...

Table lamp "Temptation" - Targetti Sankey - Design Space Age - Italy, 1970s Description: Rare table lamp model "Temptation", iconic example of Italian lighting in Space Age style produced in the 1970s by the famous company Targetti Sankey. The lamp stands out for a futuristic silhouette and a skilled use of materials typical of the Pop/Space Age era. It consists of a circular "donut" base in glossy orange lacquered metal, on which rests freely a refined glass blown spherical diffuser. The glass features an artistic finish with an opaline white shading or "cloud effect" in the lower part. Inside it houses a cylindrical lampshade cover which, in combination with the included red bulb, generates a warm, soft light with an incredible scenographic effect when lit. Under the base the original silver label of the manufactory is perfectly preserved, reporting the brand "Targetti Sankey - Made in Italy - Total Max Watt 40" in addition to the original adhesive sticker on the glass reading "Vetro artistico lavorato a mano" (hand-worked artistic glass).
