An antique English brass telescopic spyglass, signed “J. Harris – London,” dating probably from the 19th century, circa 1800–1900. This optical instrument was intended for observing distant objects, notably during travel, maritime activities, and terrestrial observations. Traditional brass-gilt construction, with a cylindrical body, telescoping sections, and an optical part containing a lens. The spyglass bears an engraved signature on its main tube. A beautiful collector’s item bearing witness to the craftsmanship of old English optical instrument makers. Presented in two separate sections, it has an authentic patina, signs of oxidation, scratches, and wear marks related to its age. Overall condition as shown in photographs; completeness and optical functionality not verified.
