Very extensive black-and-white and color illustrations. ISBN 2-84277-357-8. The book is part of the “L’Aventure photographique” collection. A comprehensive overview of Surrealist photography, comprising more than 150 photographs curated by Roger Thérond. Notably featured are Man Ray, Jacques-André Boiffard, Brassaï, Maurice Tabard, Dora Maar, Claude Cahun, Hans Bellmer, Pierre Molinier, as well as pioneers such as Eugène Atget and Nadar. A beautiful reference work, particularly appealing for its illustrations and the provenance of the works selected from Roger Thérond’s collection. Condition: good copy. Some scuffing and minor signs of wear on the dust jacket; interior is fresh.
