The intaglio embroidery is famous for its fineness, lightness, and transparency: an art passed down from generation to generation that requires precision, patience, and extraordinary manual skill. The technique consists in transferring onto the fabric a design created specifically to ultimately achieve a wide transparency resembling lace. The entire design is outlined with a double or triple stitching to give support to the fabric so it does not fray, then the connecting bars between the various motifs are created.
