Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Tray (3) - Artisanal Gold Finish - Wood - Florentina
These three Florentine trays from the first half of the 20th century form a collection full of artisanal charm, where hand-applied gilding and classic Italian motifs create a warm, elegant aesthetic that is deeply recognizable. Each piece, with its distinct shape — rectangular, round, and oval — displays the traditional work of wood decorated with stucco, pigments, and gold leaf, a technique that in Florence stayed alive for generations. The gilding, softly aged, reveals that satin-bright shine so characteristic of old Florentine trays: it is not uniform gold, but gold that breathes, that shows small irregularities and areas of wear that add authenticity. The central motifs — geometric, floral, or Renaissance-inspired — unfold with symmetry and delicacy, surrounded by wavy borders that enhance the sense of an artisanal piece. On the back they retain their Italian hallmark, direct testimony of their origin and of the Florentine tradition that gave them life. They are trays designed both to decorate and to be used with lightness: objects that bring history, color, and a Mediterranean touch to any space. Certified shipping and careful packaging.
