Triptych Icon - Madonna and Child - Hand-painted - Wood - 1950-1960

A distinctive and atmospheric religious triptych, crafted in wood and richly decorated with gold-colored/gilded finish. At the center is a hand-painted depiction of Mary with the Child Jesus, executed in traditional Orthodox/Byzantine iconographic style. The two hinged doors on the inside feature multiple small religious scenes and images of saints, including rider saints. The outer sides of the doors are hand-painted with decorative floral and rose motifs. The whole piece has a very decorative and authentic appearance.
