Two Southeast Asian White Metal Boxes

The larger, a dresser box in the form of a gourd with an openwork hinged enclosure and rooster finial, decorated with allover hand-chased repousse florals, not marked or monogrammed (5 1/2 x 5 in. dia.); and a betel box, lobed fruit or gourd form with foliate vignettes and a stem finial, not marked or monogrammed (3 x 3 in. dia.). From the Estate of the Late Susan H. Ehringhaus, Chapel Hill, North Carolina The larger box does not fit perfectly flush.
