Ukrainian Bride - Valeria Radzievska

Ukrainian Bride by Valeria Radzievska Painting 20.0 x 24.0 :: The portrait of a Ukrainian bride is dated to the 1930s of the 20th century. When I saw this old photo I was struck by the depth of her gaze concentration and at the same time tenderness. I painted this portrait with oil paints on the background of Ukrainian embroidered ornament. The idea of ??this picture is to show the ornament as roots as ancestors as folk traditions and the acquisition of previous generations which is a protection amulet and treasure for the girl. The picture is filled with Ukrainian ethnic flavor and vibe. The contrast of the black and white portrait and the bright embroidery shows the combination of different time levels: the conception and eternity of the embroidery and the flow of human life which once becomes the past. Oil on a gallery canvas signed and dated. Certificate of Authenticity is included. Ready to hang. The artwork has a hanging system allowing it to be fixed on a wall.
