United States 1860/1860 - United States 1860 – Letter to...

American letter from 1860, sent to Switzerland. Stamped with a horizontal pair of two 10-cent stamps, with a total postage of 20 cents. The letter bears multiple American and European postal and transit stamps, including a Paris postmark from 1860 and assorted red postal markings. Interesting early trans-Atlantic philatelic piece with a striking 20-cent postage and a route via France to Switzerland. The back shows some paper loss and clear signs of age and wear.
