Beautiful lot of six (6) original heavy canvas carrying straps, type ST-19-A Carrying Straps, as used by the U.S. Army Signal Corps (the communications troops). This iconic model was developed during World War II and mass-produced during the Korean War for carrying heavy field radios, field telephones, and cable reels. One of the straps features the original, extremely rare factory paper label from the well-known maker Boyt Co., dated December 1951. Three of the six straps bear the clear black ink stamps "ST-19-A"; on the remaining three, the imprint has faded or is not visible due to storage or manufacturing variations.
