Val Saint Lambert – Luxval series – Art Deco Griffon candlesticks (1935) Decorative candlesticks in pressed glass from the popular Luxval collection of Val Saint Lambert, model ‘Griffon’, designed in 1935. The Luxval series, designed by Charles Graffart and René Delvenne, combined aesthetics with affordability and was produced in the glassworks of Val Saint Lambert in Belgium. The line grew into an icon of Belgian Art Deco glassware. These beautiful candlesticks were stylishly decorated with gold paintings. Model: Griffon Color: Clear/translucent with gold paintings. Height: 27.5 cm Condition: Very good overall condition! One candlestick is in almost perfect condition with hardly any signs of aging or use. The gold paintings are in particularly beautiful condition here. Note: on the second candlestick, one of the prongs is broken off. For this candlestick the gold painting is also faded.
