Veronica Molenkamp (Tilburg, 1952) is the eldest daughter in the artist family Molenkamp. She is the daughter of the well-known painter Nico Molenkamp (1920-1998) and sister of Charlotte Molenkamp. After studying pedagogy and training in silk painting and textile design, she developed as a painter. Her work is strongly inspired by nature, especially by walks along the sea and in the dunes. Impressions of light, color and space she translates into lyrical, abstract compositions. This large-format oil painting shows a dynamic abstract composition with layered paint application and broad, flowing brushstrokes. Warm ochre, yellow, brown and red tones contrast with cooler blue-gray and white passages. The work is signed in the upper left corner “Veronica Molenkamp”.
