VERY RARE NATIVE YELLOW GOLD ON MATRIX Crystals on matrix...

From our selection of collectible minerals, we propose a rare specimen of native Gold crystals on a matrix from the Brusson Mine, in the Aosta Valley. Moreover, it is characterized by conspicuous laminas of bright yellow gold that stand out in chromatic contrast against the white crystalline matrix, adorned with tiny metallic surface crystals, which enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. The Aosta Valley hosts one of the most important gold districts in the Italian Alps: the Brusson mines, together with those of the nearby Val d’Ayas, were exploited on several occasions between the 19th and 20th centuries for the extraction of native gold from quartz veins set in Alpine metamorphic rocks. Gold is chemically very inert, it does not oxidize or deteriorate over time: this is why it preserves its brilliant golden luster even after millions of years from formation. Finding gold in clearly visible laminas on a matrix, as in this specimen, is quite rare and makes these samples highly sought after by collectors. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, in line with the traditional properties associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in tone may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
