Through the systematic use of geometric shapes, color contrasts, and optical effects, he transformed flat picture planes into dynamic compositions that convey movement and spatial depth. His work had a significant influence on geometric abstraction, graphic art, and visual culture of the second half of the 20th century. Xing Fei (born 1958 in Beijing) is a Chinese artist whose work merges the refinement and spontaneity of traditional Chinese ink painting with a modern Western visual language. Her works have been shown in museums and galleries in the United States and internationally. In 1986 she participated in the New York exhibition “Avant-Garde Chinese Art,” together with artists such as Ai Weiwei. CONDITION The work is in good condition.
