France, 2nd half of the 19th Century. ​This exceptional object stands out for its very detailed chasing work and its naturalist motifs typical of the Art Nouveau style. ​Artistic details : The bowl, with a wavily edged rim evoking a leaf or a soft fabric, is adorned with two finely sculpted birds perched on flowering branches. ​Finish : Beautiful alternation of patinas (golden bronze, silvery reflections and browned parts) that accentuate the reliefs and the geometric motifs chased inside the bowl. ​Support : The whole rests on an elegant pedestal shaped like roots and leaves. ​Condition : Very beautiful overall condition, superb ancient patina. ​Features : ​Material : Bronze / Art metal. ​Use : Ideal as a catch-all in an entry, jewelry holder, or simply as a display piece for collectors. ​Style : Art Nouveau / Naturalist.
