Set of five capacity measures – warm copperware with graceful hook handles A atmospheric set of five capacity measures, with a beautiful combination of gold-colored cups and copper-colored label plates. The increasing sizes, cylindrical forms and tall, bent handles make this series a decorative whole with an artisanal look. Each cup has its own plate with the capacity engraved: 0.3 – 0.5 – 0.8 – 1.2 – 1.6 DL. The long, flat handles end in a curved hook, enabling the measures to be presented hanging as well. The visible joints and the edges around the top and bottom impart extra character to the cups. Metal capacity measures belong to a long tradition of measuring fixed quantities. Even in museum collections, sets of brass liquid measures with handles have been preserved. This set matches the practical utensils in form, which today are also loved as decorative collectibles. The warm metal and the visible patina come beautifully into their own in a country kitchen, on a wooden board, or in a collection of old kitchen and shop accessories.
