Vincent (XXI) - Tulipani

This oil painting on panel depicts a composition of tulips in the foreground. The petals are rendered with bold brushstrokes and spatula strokes that create texture and movement. The neutral color of the background contrasts with that of the flowers, making them stand out; in some areas gold leaf has been applied, giving a sheen. A peculiarity of this painting is that it can be hung either vertically or horizontally. The vantage point so close to the flowers makes the whole piece very striking, suitable for both classical and contemporary interiors. The panel measures 97 x 58.5 x 3 cm, it is painted on the sides as well, and is ready to be hung. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. Extra-UE shipments are not accepted; orders from outside the EU will be canceled! Vincent enjoys painting large canvases with strong color contrasts, and loves the relief effects he achieves with the use of the spatula.
