Rare and elegant Murano glass pendant lamp, model L114, designed by Oreste Vistosi and Peter Peltzel around 1962 and produced by the historic Vetreria Vistosi of Venice in the early 1960s. A refined example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design, characterized by a sober and essential form and by the extraordinary quality of handcrafted Murano glass workmanship. The diffuser is made of laminated glass, with a magnificent glossy yellow finish on the outside and diffusion white on the inside. The particular craftsmanship enhances the purity of the form, producing a warm and pleasantly diffused light. The glass production is attributed to master Martinuzzi, a highly prominent craftsman in the Murano tradition, who also collaborated on works by artists such as Marc Chagall, Le Corbusier, Henry Moore, and Pablo Picasso. The lamp is presented in excellent vintage condition. The glass is intact and shows no breaks or chips. The metal parts, original, show only light signs of aging, consistent with the object's age, visible in the photographs. The electrical system has been completely renewed and the lamp is equipped with a new steel suspension cable, making it ready for installation and use. Configured for an E27 – 220V bulb. Also compatible with E26 bulbs for the American market – 110V. Bulb not included. Dimensions: • Diameter: 43 cm • Diffuser height: 34 cm • Maximum cable height: 110 cm • Cable length adjustable Bibliography: Vistosi catalog no. 3, 1962–63. A rare and refined example of Vistosi's historical production, particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts of Italian Mid-Century lighting. A well-protected and secure packaging will be provided with 100% insured shipping. @mimu_interior
