A work capable of turning a wall into a point of calm, color, and contemplation. The movement of the water, the water lilies, and the flowers bring serenity to the space and invite you to stop, breathe, and rest from the everyday rhythm. DESCRIPTION Nénuphares - 8 presents an aquatic landscape built with free brushstrokes, layers of color and texture paste. The blues, turquoises, violets, and whites create the movement of the water, while the green leaves and the pink and red flowers introduce rhythm, depth, and luminous contrasts. The texture paste adds relief to the surface and makes the painting subtly change according to the direction of the light. The work does not aim for a precise botanical representation, but rather to convey the sensation of moving water and the contemplative stillness associated with water lilies. The edges are 3.5 cm painted. After re-stretching the canvas over a depth-compatible stretcher frame, the work can be displayed without an outer frame if the future owner prefers. To increase security during transport, the canvas will be carefully shipped rolled, without stretcher and without frame. After receipt and unboxing, it is recommended to stretch it on a frame as soon as possible. The work is delivered without varnish, preserving its original painted surface. The colors may vary slightly from the photographs depending on the brightness, calibration, and screen settings of each display. The painting is presented exclusively on Catawiki for this auction.
