Vittorio Dassi

Important and refined Italian 1950s sideboard by Vittorio Dassi, expression of the elegant Italian design of the period. A piece with great stage presence, characterized by generous dimensions, soft and rounded lines, and the use of noble materials. The structure is embellished with a refined rosewood veneer, with vertical grain and a warm brown-reddish tone that beautifully stands out on the glossy surface. The piece is completed by an elegant black glass top, an element that creates a refined contrast with the wood and gives the sideboard a sophisticated and modern character. The front is divided into six wide drawers, arranged in the central and outer areas, and doors with a curvilinear shape. Inside, the configuration offers excellent storage capacity: behind the first two doors on the left there are two shelves and five drawers, while in the right compartment there are two shelves. Particularly distinctive is the raised structure on elegant tapered legs, completed by a decorative steel bar-shaped trim placed on the top, a detail that helps define the sophisticated aesthetic of the piece. A piece of great prestige and strong decorative value, ideal for a refined and elegant environment. The combination of rosewood, black glass, and metallic details, together with the substantial proportions and the special finish of the front, makes this sideboard a piece of great interest for collectors and enthusiasts of Italian design of the 20th century. The piece has been polished with oil and shellac, shows normal signs due to age and use. Decorative locks.
