Volkskunst - Nativity scene (8) - Wood - Hand-carved Figures (7)

Beautiful hand-carved wooden nativity scene – 7-piece – Fine folk art with golden details Description: For sale: A characteristic and highly atmospheric nativity scene of authentic woodcarving (folk art). This handmade set is in good condition and stands out for its refined finish. Features of the figures (7-piece): • The Holy Family: Baby Jesus in the manger, a kneeling Mary and Joseph. Joseph and Mary are beautifully painted in warm brown tones and the clothing is finished with an elegant golden edge. • Details: The figures have very fine and expressive facial features, testimony to high-quality craftsmanship. • Animals: An ox, a donkey and two lying/standing sheep. • Size: Joseph is about 10 cm tall; Mary is depicted smaller in the traditional kneeling pose. Features of the stable: • The stable is very solidly built on a heavy wooden board as a base. • The sides are open and atmospherically shaped in a rustic scissor-like form. • The roof is delicately finished with painted imitation moss and stones. • Unique detail: On the platform there is a loose pine tree that is firmly placed into the base via a traditional tenon-and-moth connection. A timeless and valuable piece of religious folk art that fits perfectly in a classic or country-style Christmas interior. Packaging & Shipping: • Safely packaged: The nativity scene and all 7 loose figures (and tree) are fully individually wrapped in soft foil and bubble wrap for shipping. The figures are protected in a separate box so they do not collide with each other or with the stable during transport. • Sturdy outer carton: The whole set is shipped in a large, sturdy box that is fully padded on all sides with shock-absorbing material (box-in-box method). • Shipping: Exlusively sent by registered and insured mail via bpost, including Track & Trace. This way we share no risk. Pickup is, of course, also possible by arrangement.
