Mid-Century Brass & Red-Copper Wall Sculpture - Seagulls for the Sun - 1970s Wall sculpture in mid-century modern style. This piece is a beautiful example of the popular brutalist art from the 1970s, depicting a flight of stylized seagulls in glossy brass elegantly before a setting sun of red copper. The warm color tones of the copper and the reflections on the polished brass make this an eye-catching feature in any modern, vintage, or industrial interior. The piece is equipped with a mounting system on the back, allowing it to be mounted simply and floating against the wall. Dimensions Height 25 cm Width 38 cm Depth 1 cm In good, vintage condition with normal signs of age and use that suit the piece. The brass has a nice sheen with occasional subtle scratches. The red-copper plate (the sun) shows a small, subtle dent/blemish at the edge (see the detail photos for an accurate impression). This is not distracting when the piece is hung on the wall and contributes to its authentic vintage character. This lot will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking code.
