Wall decoration - Belgium - Daniel D’Haeseleer 1970

Daniël D’Haeseleer – Signed Brutalist Wall Sculpture – Belgium, 1970s An exceptional and characterful wall sculpture by the Belgian artist and designer Daniël D’Haeseleer, produced in the 1970s. This unique art object combines sculptural strength with refined decorative details and forms an impressive accent in any interior. The organically shaped tree is entirely handmade. The trunk and the irregularly branched structure consist of woven, dark patinated metal wires, which give the work a pronounced brutalist look. Between the branches, countless fine leaves in hammered copper or brass unfold. Their warm, golden sheen comes to life differently depending on the light. It is precisely the combination of the dark metal, the rich metallic luster, and the playful, almost moving form that lends this wall sculpture its special charm. The open structure casts subtle shadows on the wall, so the piece continually changes and creates a vibrant, almost three-dimensional effect. It is a decorative object with a strong presence, yet with enough refinement to harmoniously fit into a modern, classical, or eclectic interior. The sculpture is signed on one of the metal leaves. The signature is clearly visible in the detail photos and underscores the authentic and collectible character of this special work. Dimensions: * Height: approximately 45 cm * Width: approximately 80 cm * Depth: approximately 25 cm Condition: The wall sculpture is in a suitable vintage condition. Light signs of aging and wear, as well as natural patination, are part of the look and history of this handmade artwork. Please view the photos carefully; they form an integral part of the description. A rare and decorative Belgian design object with a distinctive signature, which, thanks to its sculptural form, warm metal accents, and impressive shadow play, adds a unique atmosphere to the space. The wall sculpture is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking.
