Wall sconce (2) - Gilt brass - Art Nouveau

Up for auction, an elegant and unique pair of three-light wall sconces, each characterized by graceful buds, entirely in solid gilt-brass. A meticulous display of movement is evident in the workmanship, difficult to achieve. The hot-gilding of the brass preserves a splendid original and authentic patina. On the reverse, especially inside the flowers, a strong natural oxidation is visible from years past. We also note original screws in some spots rusted with time. The pair of wall sconces is in perfect condition, free from recent restorations. The sconces feature rich and substantial workmanship with a striking visual impact, ideal for high-end environments, boutiques, hotels, and professional studios. Dimensions: H 42 cm / W 30 cm / D 16 cm Weight for the pair: 4 kg of bronze.
