Kandinsky’s interest in synesthesia—the connection between colors and music—shows parallels to the works of Paul Klee, a close friend and collaborator in The Blue Rider, who also used abstract forms to visualize inner worlds. Both artists shared the aim of using abstraction to connect with deeper, universal truths beyond the visible. Wassily Kandinsky remains a central figure in art history, whose work opened the door to modern abstract art. His theories and painting influenced not only his contemporaries but also laid the foundation for the development of abstract art in the 20th century.
