Waterman - Le Man 200 - Fountain pen

A0000004540 The Waterman Le Man 200 fountain pen is in very good overall condition, notable for its excellent visual presence and proper functioning. The body and cap, made of high-gloss black lacquer, retain an elegant and deep appearance, with good uniformity of finish. There are slight micro-scratches characteristic of careful use, with no cracks, fissures or material loss, keeping its structural integrity intact. Gold-plated elements — clip, rings and endings — are in good condition, with shine present and no pronounced wear. You can observe minimal signs of use in specific areas, in line with the piece’s age, but without affecting its overall aesthetics. The nib, solid 18K gold, is in very good condition, correctly aligned and without deformations. It preserves its crisp engraving “Waterman Ideal Paris 18K 750” and offers a clean overall look. The feed is in proper condition, ensuring a correct ink flow. The pen has been inspected and is fully functional and ready for writing. The closure system works correctly, with a firm cap fit. Includes the original Waterman box, which shows visible signs of use and exterior wear, such as scuffs at the corners and a deteriorated label, typical of the passage of time. Overall, this is a piece in very good condition, ideal for both use and collection, preserving the classic character and manufacturing quality of the Le Man line. Conservation recommendations For optimal maintenance, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically designed for fountain pens, avoid pigment inks, clean the pen with lukewarm water if it is not going to be used for a while, dry it completely before storing, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always operate the mechanism gently to preserve its movement. Happy bidding!
