A characteristic and elegant Swiss men's wristwatch from the historic brand Wega Watch Co. from Grenchen. This mechanical watch dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s and is in good working condition. The reliable automatic movement winds itself from wrist motion and keeps time properly. This quality timepiece is fitted with 25 jewels and an Incabloc shock protection for extra durability, is anti-magnetic and features a well-functioning date window at the three-o'clock position. The watch case has a gold-colored front and on the back is a screwed stainless steel caseback with reference number 24520. Although the back states waterproof, buyers should note that water resistance for vintage watches can no longer be guaranteed due to age. The stylish cream-colored dial features gold-tone, arrow-shaped markers and Arabic numerals at six, nine and twelve o'clock, beautifully protected by an elegant domed plexiglass. The watch comes with a nearly new, non-original black leather band with a crocodile print and a silver-toned buckle, with a common lug width of 18 millimeters. This lot is in a beautiful, authentic vintage condition with a mild and characterful patina on the dial. There are light, superficial signs of wear and scratches on the case and crown consistent with the age of the piece.
