Alle Auktionen / Bücher, Karten, Handschriften / William Shakespeare & F
Charming exemplar that brings together a selection of major texts by William Shakespeare in an edition associated with the French translation or adaptation by François-Victor Hugo and enriched with the compositions of Jean Gradassi, thus offering a meeting between Elizabethan theatre, French literature, and the art of modern illuminated manuscripts - The work reveals the different facets of Shakespeare's dramatic genius through works where tragedy, comedy, historical drama, passionate love, political ambition, jealousy, vengeance, madness, familial rivalries, and questions about the human condition intersect - The great figures created by Shakespeare appear here as complex characters, subjected to inner conflicts and to circumstances that test their beliefs, their feelings, and their relation to power - William Shakespeare & F. Victor Hugo / Jean Gradassi - The Masterpieces of Shakespeare - 1974 - A l'Enseigne du Chant des Sphères - 199 Pages.
