Gorgeous retro 14K gilded sterling-silver link bracelet from the well-known Hobé brand from the 1930s or 1940s with wire-worked detailed three-dimensional flowers, roses and leaves. This iconic American brand is known for its high-quality handmade costume jewelry. Although they were making clasps and accessories as early as the late 19th century, their fashion jewelry from the 1930s-1940s is highly cherished by retro enthusiasts. The bracelet combines gold and silver (sterling silver vermeil) with large, striking green faceted-cut glass rhinestones. Perfectly functioning box clasp and safety chain. Length is 19.0 cm. Weight is 29.30 grams. Bearing the silver mark “STERLING" and "1/20 14K" This indicates that the piece is made of sterling silver with a gold coating (also known as silver vermeil). The designation 1/20 14K means that at least 5% of the total weight consists of a thick, mechanically applied layer of real 14-karat gold on top of the solid silver base. After decades of careful collecting I have decided to part with (part of) my collection.
