Wilson - after the example of the Pre Raphaelites period...

Imposing wall mirror or decorative frame in wood and silvered plaster (124x94 cm) with decorative insert "Silver Favourites" In the auction, a splendid decorative piece with great visual impact and notable presence, ideal for interiors in classical or contemporary eclectic style. The element of this lot is the monumental and sumptuous high-manufacture frame made of wood and plaster, finished with a splendid and elaborate silvered relief work featuring classical and floral motifs. With a depth of 5 cm and a total weight of 12 kg, the structure guarantees the use of noble, solid, and heavy materials, ideal for those seeking a durable piece of furniture. The silver finish has a pronounced ability to reflect light, illuminating the room where it is placed. Given the robustness of the wood, the frame also lends itself magnificently to being reused as a frame for a large living room or entrance mirror. Inside the frame (inner light 92 x 61 cm) there is a refined vintage reproduction on rigid canvas support of the neoclassical masterpiece from 1903 Silver Favourites by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (bearing the print or reproducer "Wilson" signature). The scene, with its marine tones and white marbles, completes the overall aesthetic of the object. Dimensions and weight: • Total with frame: 124 x 94 x 5 cm • Interior (light): 92 x 61 cm • Total weight: 12 kg Normal and minor signs present, two corners with visible chipping in photos.
