WMF - Platter (2) - Silverplated - Set of serving bowls

Set WMF Germany (*hotel silver) silver-plated bowls in Art Deco style. The bowls are executed in the geometric Art Deco/early Bauhaus style and date from approximately 1930–1950. The clean cutouts (openwork or pierced design) often served in hotels as an elegant fruit or bread basket. Because of the perforated patterns, air could reach the fruit, or the napkin inside was nicely showcased. A beautiful addition to an extensive dining table. The +/- sizes: H 8 x D 30.5 cm H 5.5 x D 20.5 cm Weight 900 grams (together) ex packaging Both marked on the underside The condition is, given the age, excellent. As signs of use there are fine scratches, appropriate to the age and use. The set has been cleaned but not yet polished. There is some environmental discoloration due to the high reflectivity and shine. We invite you to view the photos carefully. They were taken in daylight and unedited; they accurately reflect the condition and are part of the description. After purchase the set will be carefully packed for insured and traceable shipping.
