Woolly Mammoth - Fossil fragment - Mammuthus primigenius...

Fossil Mammoth Rib - Mammuthus primigenius Very beautiful, large, and heavy part of a mammoth rib At 73 cm a very nice large piece, probably from somewhere in the middle of the rib cage This rib has been defossilized and is still in clean water; everyone preserves it in their own way, I am happy to leave that to the next owner as well Doggerland no longer exists, but traces of it can still be found on the beaches of the North Sea. It happens regularly that walkers, enthusiasts, and researchers find something special there Wondrous treasures such as a Vertebra, tooth, or a rib of a mammoth. Also in pumped-up sandy flats and in fishing nets bones are brought to the surface, as in this late 2024 example Info: Fossilized mammoth rib Mammuthus primigenius Late Pleistocene Find location: North Sea Length 73 cm Width 6 cm Thickness 5 cm Beautiful mammoth rib in good condition, recovered from the North Sea Note: it is starting to flake at one spot; see the photos. It is still in clean water and will still need attention during conservation Will be well packed and sent by registered mail
