Alle Auktionen / Möbel, Design und Spiegel / Workbench - Mahogany
Victorian drafting table in mahogany with drawer This worktable dates back to the mid-19th century, during the Victorian era, when such furniture was essential in middle-class homes for sewing and embroidery activities. Made of solid and veneered mahogany, it features a top drawer for storing needles, threads, and small tools, as well as a tripod base with decorative carvings typical of the period’s style. The compact shape and curved base reflect the elegance and practicality of Victorian design. These worktables are highly valued by antique furniture collectors and by enthusiasts of Victorian decor for their artisanal refinement and historical value. They represent a piece of domestic history from the 19th century and are sought after for both decorative and functional use in classic and traditional settings. The quality mahogany and decorative carvings enhance their appeal to antiquarians and interior designers.
