Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / XTC Artist - Cerise Chanel Metallic Blue Reef 30 cm
Apple / Cherry in Chanel Metallic Blue Reef resin by XTC. Approximately 15-17 cm in diameter and 30 cm high with the stem. Sculpture in resin, commercially manufactured and customized, hand-finished by the Artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes and vinyl. The edition number applies to the finish painted by the artist and not to the base object. Numbered / 30 and signed on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) supplied. (The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar) Careful and tracked shipping. Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual research has evolved into a passion that needed to be realized. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne or Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials. He draws inspiration from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general. All defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork. HAND-FINISHED “Sculpture made for commercial purposes, retouched by hand by the artist XTC using acrylic paints.”
