About the artist: Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools; she currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation, and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her entrepreneurial vision with deep artistic sensitivity. This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, employing contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual impact topics such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres. With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value. Shipping and presentation: The work will be carefully packaged by a professional and sent in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. Shipments are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx, or Correos España, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case. Estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country. In this imposing composition, the artist presents us with the Sphinx Cat, a character that within contemporary pop culture symbolizes alternative luxury and sophistication, transfigured here into an timeless relic. The work uses the concept of Kintsugi to establish a dialogue between the fragility of the cat’s naked skin and the eternal hardness of precious metals. The integration of Kintsugi in this piece moves away from accidental fracture to become a deliberate design of identity. The body of the Sphinx Cat, in a deep blue reminiscent of polished obsidian, appears “repaired” and ornamented with gold reliefs that simulate hieroglyphs and ancient armors. This fusion suggests that the character is not just an animal, but a container of historical and personal memory that has been fragmented by time and reconstructed with noble excellence. The collar and the golden pectorals act as the glue of the story; they are the seams that keep the essence of the feline united, elevating it from an exotic pet to a deity of resilience.
