Yves Weiler - CANAL DU MIDI 3 (XXL)

Canal du Midi III celebrates one of the jewels of French heritage in an explosion of light and color. Under the brush of Y. Weiler, the golden and green reflections of the canal mingle with the majestic shade of plane trees. The scene captures the moment: a rower glides on the tranquil water while walkers enjoy the serenity of the place. As the ancients did, the composition respects the rules for an aesthetically pleasing visual. The base of the trees is at one-third of the height. The tree furthest to the right on the left bank is at one-third of the length. The pictorial composition, bathed in sunlight, transports the viewer to a peaceful and lively atmosphere. This work is addressed to nature, travel, and heritage lovers. A canvas reproduction was exhibited as part of "Y’a de l’art dans l’air" in Carpentras (July–August 2025), Yves is a French painter trained by a professional painter during his adolescence, then at art schools. From 2021 to 2025 consecutively, Yves received a Certificate of Artistic Merit awarded by the prestigious Luxembourg Art Prize. He sells his canvases internationally. The canvas will be protected and wrapped directly by the artist to ensure the integrity of the work during transport. A certificate of authenticity will be sent upon receipt of the canvas.
