Catalog of the exhibition held at the Kinský Palace from September 19 to November 12, 1995, devoted to the Cremona school of drawing in the 16th century and its development between the Renaissance and Mannerism. A study by Martin Zlatohlávek and Giulio Bora, accompanied by a comprehensive catalog raisonné of the drawings. Numerous reproductions, with detailed entries examining technique, attribution, provenance, and relationships with painted decorations. The book documents, in particular, the artists of the Campi family and several major works of Lombard Mannerism. Entry no. 78, reproduced here, examines a preparatory drawing for the Chariot of the Sun, associated with the decorative works of Antonio and Giulio Campi. A specialized and sought-after catalog for the study of Lombard Renaissance drawing. Some scuffing, small marks, and slight creases on the cover; interior in good condition.
