Zsolnay Pécs - Sculpture

A charming porcelain pin tray by the renowned Zsolnay Pécs manufactory in Hungary. The piece depicts a seated child holding a small basket, which forms a practical decorative tray for jewellery, pins or other small objects. It is finished in Zsolnay’s characteristic Eosin iridescent glaze, displaying attractive shades of green, gold and blue that change subtly depending on the light. Dimensions: 7 x 11 x 6 cm. Weight: 115 gr. Period: ca. 1930-1950. Marked on the underside with the Zsolnay Pécs factory mark and “Made in Hungary”. Condition: very good (see images). A very decorative and delicate collectible with influences from the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period.
