Zsolnay - Zsolnay - Vase - Ceramic - craquelé-/mosaic pattern

A remarkable vintage vase by Zsolnay Pécs, manufactured in Hungary around 1960. The vase features a tall sculptural form with an elegant narrowing and an asymmetrically shaped opening. Finished in a deep red/oxblood glaze with a pronounced raised craquelé/mosaic pattern in dark and light iridescent tones. The base bears the original Zsolnay Pécs factory mark and the text “Made in Hungary”. A characteristic example of Zsolnay's mid-century ceramics from the 1950s/60s.
