Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Jewellery box - Thuya - Thuya handmade Marquetry
Bring the warm, aromatic elegance of Moroccan artistry into your home with this magnificent Thuya wood jewelry box. Entirely handcrafted by local master artisans of Essaouira, this piece showcases a striking geometric marquetry lid, making it a perfectly elegant and functional artifact for storing jewelry, watches, or precious keepsakes. The Raw Material & Craftsmanship: Rare Thuya Burl: Crafted from solid Moroccan Thuya root (loupe de thuya), a highly prized and increasingly rare wood known globally for its spectacular, swirling grain, deep reddish-brown hues, and lingering, natural aromatic scent. Masterful Marquetry: The lid features a precise, hand-cut geometric lattice pattern, intricately inlaid with contrasting bright lemon wood and rich dark ebony accents. Tactile Authenticity: The interior reveals the raw, unvarnished beauty of the wood with a practical partitioned layout, while the exterior has been polished to a flawless, gleaming finish that only traditional hand-buffing can achieve. A Piece of History: The coastal city of Essaouira has been the revered epicenter of Moroccan woodwork for centuries. This box represents the culmination of generational knowledge, where every precise cut and inlay is performed entirely by hand, far removed from industrial mass production. It is a true celebration of nature's raw beauty and historic human craftsmanship. A unique opportunity for collectors of authentic, handmade artifacts. Your piece will be meticulously packaged and dispatched swiftly with trackable shipping.
