Object: Silver pendant enclosing an authentic ancient coin. The pendant is custom-made to the coin and if desired can be removed without damaging the coin. Coin: Gallienus (253-268 AD), Antoninianus, Samosata mint, 255-256 AD. Obverse: dot IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS P F AVG, radiate, draped, cuirassed bust right. Reverse: IOVI CONSERVATORI, Gallienus standing right, holding spear or sceptre, receiving globe from Jupiter standing facing left, holding sceptre, wreath in upper centre. Width: ± 19,9 mm Reference: Göbl 1697, RSC 379, RIC 440 Condition: Very fine condition, bold portrait of the emperor. Wearable, signs of wear consistent with age and use.
