Medieval silver alloy cross pendant with slightly flaring arms and straight terminals. The front is embellished with engraved parallel lines bordered by rows of closely spaced punched marks, creating a symmetrical geometric design that follows the contours of the cross. The pendant is fitted with an elongated, integral suspension loop which allowed the cross to be worn on a cord or chain. The reverse is plain and retains visible traces of manufacture and use. -> Cross pendants were worn throughout the Medieval period as personal expressions of Christian faith.
