Very often I find myself being the first judge of myself, in life as in my artistic path. This painting, instead, arises from the desire to suspend every judgment and to give space to the freedom of the creative gesture. It was created step by step, savoring the process without loading the canvas with expectations, without asking myself where I would end up or what meaning it should take. I let shapes and colors meet spontaneously, following intuitions, emotions, and the sensations of the moment. From it emerged a meditative work, an invitation to slow down and to welcome what happens without the need to control it. Every element was chosen and paired with lightness, to convey a sense of openness, play, and freedom. The absence of judgment thus becomes the heart of the work: a space where one can simply be, observe, and let oneself be traversed by the images. Frivolity for you who look, and for me who, while painting, have learned to grant myself it. The painting is part of the Visionaria series and was made without using artificial intelligence. Dimensions 50x40x4.5 cm, does not require a frame, the edges are painted black, it already has a hanging hook, however the painting can be hung and rotated in the direction you prefer. Vertical or horizontal. Very sturdy wooden frame. The work was exhibited in 2026 during the solo painting Cromodinamiche at the Galleria del palazzo comunale in Cupra Marittima, in 2025 during the artist’s solo show titled Oltre il visibile at the church of Santa Maria della Misericordia in Massignano, during the bipersonale Monocromie at the Torre dei Gualtieri in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy. The painting will be shipped with a heavy cardboard box after being carefully wrapped with protective paper. It comes with a printed certificate of authenticity issued by the artist. For shipments outside the EU it takes about 15/20 days to obtain the export certificate from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. Milena does not question why lines and colors take life in a certain way; she watches the canvas, listening to what she feels inside and what the image communicates to her emotionally as it grows. The characteristic of her works is to strike the irrational and make a thousand sensations vibrate at once. Milena Bernardini has attended several art studios to learn various painting techniques which she has experimented with along her artistic path. She has been painting for 15 years. Today she mainly uses oil colors and acrylics, and her preferred support is canvas. Her paintings are in private Italian and international collections.
