Paco Guzmán - Abstracción C1 - No Reserve

Oil painting on canvas measuring 59x79 cm; the work has 6 cm of canvas excess on all sides to avoid stretching issues on the frame. The piece is sent with a certificate of authenticity. For security, the work is shipped inside a rigid waterproof cardboard tube with caps. In Abstracción C1, the author builds a vibrant structured composition of interconnected vertical stripes that generate a rhythmic visual and kinetic effect. It stands out for a dazzling dynamism in which organic, curved shapes fragment and interlace through a rich, contrasted chromatic palette: turquoise tones, deep blue, Saturn orange, terracotta, magenta, beige, and touches of black and yellow. This piece evidences Guzmán’s technical maturity in handling the plane, saturated color, and formal balance, yielding a work with notable visual impact and a highly decorative presence. From an early age, he demonstrated notable drawing ability, creating caricatures of his teachers and classmates. Although he initially showed interest in comics, he soon leaned toward impressionist painting and caricature. In 1992, he began his painting career self-taught, focusing on classical motifs such as still lifes. Subsequently, he completed a correspondence course in artistic drawing, balancing his studies with work in a furniture factory. His passion for art led him to devote himself fully to painting and caricature, creating caricatures of friends and tourists, which allowed him to perfect his technique. Between 1997 and 2002, he studied at Esardi School in Amposta, in collaboration with Llotja de Barcelona, specializing in painting techniques and mural painting. During this period, he left his job at the factory to focus on his artistic studies, supporting himself through occasional work and his street art. Throughout his career, Guzmán has developed an eclectic style, combining contemporary painting with caricature. He published the book "901 Caricaturas," which collects more than one hundred caricatures of famous figures, created with various techniques such as acrylic on canvas, digital painting, oil on canvas, and graphite on paper. He has also participated in exhibitions such as "Anatomia de les ànimes i visions caricaturesques" at the Espai Expositiu DeltArt in Deltebre, where he presented works created during the lockdown, reflecting an evolution in his technique and creativity. Paco Guzmán continues to explore new forms of artistic expression, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the fields of painting and caricature in Spain.
